NORFOLK AREA
There is plenty to do in Norfolk's major city, Norwich. Or, try the coastal resorts at Great Yarmouth, Cromer and Wells.
Mundesley
Mundesley is a lovely old-fashioned village with all the necessary facilities. There is an award-winning green grocer stuffed with locally made produce; butcher with en-suite deli; well-stocked fish trailer; gift shop; art gallery plus fish and chips and kebabs. There are several cafés including the new Habibi Café where you can sip Moroccan mint tea while looking through the books for sale. There are a couple of small supermarkets and several pubs where families are welcome.
The Blue Flag beach is long, clean, sandy and life-guarded. The surrounding countryside is great for cycling and golf is catered for in Mundesley itself.
This is a lovely destination for those looking for a typically English beach holiday. It is also a great place to come when the weather is wild as the beach takes on a whole different persona and coming back to a glowing fire is hard to beat.
